Myths About Cars Tires
Many people do not understand the intricacies of treating vehicle tires . But theres also that little smartass . Therefore beredarlah myriad myths about tires .The danger , if the public believed the myth , then it will create thousands of lives in danger . So , lest we mistakenly overwrite .Here we describe a number of myths about tires and their truth or falsity of the myth :
Tire pressure needs to be reduced when it rains : Not true .
Expected to obtain optimal traction , not a few people think to reduce the tire pressure of ideal conditions when it rains . In fact , this action would make tire treads be perfect stride to the road surface .
By the middle of the curve due to reduced pressure , the tire will be difficult to dispose of water into the side . As a result, the symptoms became easy aquaplaning occurs when the car struck a puddle of water . Moreover, the rain makes the temperature of the tires to cool . This condition makes the air pressure could drop to 1 psi .Ideally , of course the tire pressure should be kept well within the manufacturers recommendations . Thus , optimum traction will be in a variety of weather and road conditions .
The ability on the wet track depends on the type of tires grooves : Not entirely true.
When the tire rotates , the water flow will indeed affect the effectiveness of tire throwing water to the sides . But at the moment until the tire lock braking suddenly , the groove has no effect .
Here it is the tire compound to take the role . Therefore , no matter how well the plot , if komponnya hard , the tire may be harmful in slippery road .
The Higher tires pressure , the more easily broken : Not true.
Tire construction is made such that the resistant up to a pressure of 40 psi . On the contrary , the pressure that is too low can make the tires become more vulnerable to rupture , because the circumstances that make the work of the tire walls more flexible and allows the wire to break up the sidewall and cause tire burst .
The Wider of grooves, the better tires grip : Not true.
The wider the water flow means the less rubber stuck to the road . It would be very detrimental in the current dry conditions . And most of the time we walked to the car is when dry .
The more expensive the tire , the better the performance : In many cases , it is true.
Expensive tires in the same size and class , not without reason . It is a costly compensation of the research conducted by the manufacturer .
Based on tire testing conducted several independent agencies in the U.S. , high-priced tires tend to grip better , has lower noise , longer endurance , as well as obstacles in the lower spin .
The thinner the tire , the more easily broken : Not necessarily.
When in normal use on the road smooth , thin profile tires can actually extend shelf life . This is because a high grip tread tires so infrequently shifted to the asphalt .But if the tires hit the road frequently damaged , thin profile tires will accelerate the damage to the tires , or even wheels .
Spooring Worn-out tire : True.
In fact this is one of the toughest factors that affect tire wear . Spooring are not really going to make a tire run out quickly and unevenly .Therefore, it is recommended you do spooring every 10,000 miles or when there are other symptoms that felt like throwing the steering wheel in one direction or tire squeal when turning broken .
Dirty more easily deflated tire : True.
When dry roads , dust or mud may just be outside tire . But once it rains, the water will make it easier to infiltrate into the dirt between the tire and rim . It can cause a flat tire slowly .

Tips on Choosing Tires Type Wet or Dry For Motor
The road condition is very influential on the performance and comfort while riding a motorcycle . Not only that , the road conditions are wet or dry after rain in summer also have an increased risk respectively .Thats why deciding the right type of tire for your bike is very necessary . You need to know that there are various types of tires , the wet type , dry type and type two. These types have different uses .
As the name implies , the type of tires used specifically for wet roads are often wet . Tires of this type usually have a lot of grooves that reach up to the edge of the tire . This groove serves to remove water when the tire rolls through the streets were wet and watery . However, this will decrease the tire traction on dry roads .
In contrast , dry type tires have little or even not at all have the groove . These tires have the best traction when used on dry roads . But traction will be reduced when the road gets wet and will increase the risk of slipping .
While the third type can be used for both conditions , both wet and dry . Tire type is the most commonly used in Indonesia as a tropical climate . This tire has a groove that is not too much and good traction .
To distinguish this type of tire can you look at the specs on your tires . Often the factory write wet type , dry or wet cleaning . Adjust the type of tire with road conditions that often you pass to maximize your safety and driving comfort .

Know Tires Traction with Matches Stick
Almost all the car tires are TWI ( Tread Wear Indicator ) . Its function is to detect the condition of the tires , is it still worth taking or not . If the TWI has been eroded by asphalt or even disappear , its time to replace a new tire .Seeing what percentage live TWI sometimes complicated especially tires still mounted on a vehicle . " You see , there are only TWI position at some point only. Moreover, if a vehicle is flat would be difficult to see or measure , " said Johan Karuci , retainer BC Motorsport in number Long Way , West Jakarta .Knowing the inside tread wear is very important , because it relates directly to the traction on road surfaces under various conditions .For example, when passing through the road surface is wet, the tires needed to remove water quickly . If not , then it could happen hydroplaning or floating on the water . In effect, the tires lose traction and very dangerous .Already reduced tread wear depth is also an effect on dry roads . " Tires are less bite during high speed . If the road is not so tight not taste the difference , " said Johan .Please refer to the simple way to measure tread wear with tools practiced directly.
1 . TWI as a reminder to change the monitor . There are other ways without seeing or looking for TWI , the use of coins , rulers , and other tools to look inside tread wear .

2 . To know for sure , where the position of TWI , the wheel should be removed and also in order to measure with certainty the depth of tread wear .

3 . Could also use a matchstick or a ball point if trouble finding TWI . The trick , just fill in the gap julienne tread . Then , mark the rod with a ball point .

4 . So , the rod that has been marked , measuring with a ruler . The new tire tread wear was 1.6 mm and each manufacturer has a standard size depending ebrbeda .

5 . Measurements not only at the insolence tread wear . You see , it could be consumed next to the side of the tire just because spooring incorrect or legs no problem .
