Mercedes Benz AMG Prepare Powerful Turbo Power Systems
Rome - Performance division of Mercedes-Benz, AMG, is preparing for the transfer of technologies from F1 cars into production. One that will come true is the electric turbo system, so the compressor does not utilize exhaust gas turbo but getting power from the electric motor. Jochen Martin Schmidt, Head of Powertrain Development AMG said, with turbo boost that can be found in the lower rounds is set at the same time easy to get fuel efficiency.
"The problem with F1 is the engine working at very high rotation, if you want to move the technology to the production car will not be so great ability at low speeds," said Schmid, in Italy, on Monday (07/07/2014).

Mercedes-Benz became the first successful team in F1 hybrids era since the new regulation states use a V6 engine, a 1.6L capacity turbocharger plus energy regeneration system. Schmidt believes the lessons of the technology it is possible to improve the working system of future cars.
